Day Six of my floatplane cruise...This day is a bit different as we need to climb over some mountains on route:-Here we are taking off from Victoria International Seaplane Base to......climb away on course for our next destination.We need to grab some altitude today and......seek out suitable valleys to reach our first port of call.Here it is...Darrington Municipal and that Cessna that has just taken off is "Dynamic Scenery".We do a low pass over Darrington Muni......to remind ourselves......just exactly ......what it looks like.Here is a short video clip of that low pass:-http://www.petermcleland.com/video/LoPassDarrington.wmvBest to have your sound right up for the video clips!Well, after that excitement here we are again scrabbling for altitude......as we need to cross a lot more high ground on the way to our next destination.I'm setting my sights on that saddle ahead.I'm pretty sure that the valley on our left will bend round the hill on our right and we will follow it.Here is a proper saddle ahead and we climb some more to... ...cross over it...That is as high as we go today.Shortly the lake we are looking for, appears ahead.
